Salary:           £33,586pa

Contract:      Fixed Term until 31 March 2025.

 

As a Deputy Community Services Manager, you will support in leading our outreach, hub and specialist teams which includes AFEO (Accommodation for Ex Offenders) to relieve homelessness and prevent cyclical or entrenched rough sleeping. 

Ideally you will have good knowledge of homelessness, experience of managing/supervising a team, with the ability to motivate and inspire. Excellent support work knowledge and good practice, with the drive to want to start to experience leading a frontline support team.

The role will include supporting the clients within the service, inducting, training and supervising new and existing staff members, operating various management systems, including the administration of health and safety requirements.

A key part of the role is to support the Community Services Manager to lead on ensuring quality and performance and to ensure the teams adhere to the varied contract requirements.  Effective work with partner agencies is critical to the success of the role and the various services that it manages.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working in the third sector or the ability to demonstrate sufficient experience in similar fields.
  • Management of staff teams delivering services to contract requirements
  • To have an ability to plan own work effectively and that of others, meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Clear risk and health and safety management knowledge
  • Hands on attitude and a collaborative approach
